Charity Induction Course
Working For A Charity is running a 2-day Charity Induction Course in Autumn 2008.
For people newly appointed to positions of responsibility in the voluntary sector, as paid staff or trustees, this fast-track short course will provide an opportunity to find out more about the key issues voluntary organisations face.
Programme content
The next course will be held at NCVO - Regent's Wharf, 8 All Saints Street, N1 9RL, on Wednesday 12 November and Thursday 13 November 2008. An outline of the programme is shown below.

Morning
- Voluntary sector issues, culture and ethos
- Trainer: Sarah Buxton, Director of Finance, RHS
Afternoon
- Recruitment, development and support of volunteers
- Trainer: Moyra Weston, Consultant, Weston Coaching and Consultancy
Day 2 Thursday 13 November 2008
Morning
- Fundraising and income generation
- Trainer: Rachel Billsberry- Grass, Fundraising consultant
Afternoon
- Effective governance
- Trainer: Anne Moynihan, Head of Governance and Leadership Team, NCVO
Hours: 10.00am - 4.30pm with 45mins for lunch
